Tour gear is starting to roll in!

Each day the reality of my upcoming tour sinks in a bit more deeply. I had one of those moments last night as I unloaded my trusty little red pickup truck from a week on the road. Here are a few of my newest equipment acquisitions:

And one photo just for fun… Do you think this fuzzy co-pilot would enjoy the Tour?

A weekend of bikes bikes bikes!

I spent the weekend in Monterey, California at the Sea Otter Bike Festival. Here’s a quick video recap:

And a little scenery:

There were happy bikes:

And cruiser bikes:

And wooden bikes:

And mountain bike racers going fast:

And downhill bike racers going BIG:

High-fives:

And even a bit of time by the beach for Grizwald and I:

I connected with a lot of folks from the bike industry during the festival and am excited to collaborate with all of you as we collectively promote bikes for everyone!

On the road again…

I’m off to the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, CA with my trusty co-pilot Grizwald for a few days of bike racing, bike advocacy, bike testing, bike networking, bike love… You get the idea. I’m looking forward to spreading the word about the School Food Tour, connecting with my current sponsors (while searching for more) and chatting with like-minded cycling advocates. It’s going to be a fantastically action-packed weekend.

While I’m gone, here’s a few interesting school-food related articles to peruse:

Have a great week , everyone!
